HRSG Stack Inlet Expansion Joints

Expansion joints manufactured to withstand the exhaust stack’s corrosive environment

The exhaust stack is connected to the outlet of the HRSG with uninsulated ducting and an expansion joint. Despite the low temperatures (under 350°F - 400°F) and minimal movements, the expansion joint installed at the stack requires careful material selection, design construction, and installation to ensure reliable operation.

HRSG Stack Inlet Expansion Joints conditions and features:

  • • Assembled on-site and constructed of a thin-layered fabric belt
  • • Susceptible to corrosion due to dew point environment, requiring an acid-resistant material
